Designed in our studio Stockholm and meticulously handwoven by artisans in India, the Swedish Homage Collection has grown to become one of LAYERED’s most cherished staples and signature designs. The collection is a tribute to the pioneering female textile artists of the 20th century, whose visionary design language shaped our Scandinavian design heritage.

The collection is crafted from 100% wool, incorporating 70% resilient New Zealand wool. To achieve the distinct 12 mm shaggy pile, each rug undergoes a centuries-old manual washing technique. This rigorous, hands-on process naturally softens the wool and brings out its inherent luster, resulting in a rich and tactile texture.
Each rug is designed to stand alone as a centerpiece, yet the palette is curated to harmonize beautifully when combining pieces across different rooms. This allows the collection to serve as a sophisticated foundation for those seeking a unified aesthetic throughout the home.
