Artist Series Heather Chontos: This rug is part of a collaboration between LAYERED and multidisciplinary artist Heather Chontos, known for her abstract compositions where bold colors and dynamic shapes take center stage. Each piece is handcrafted from 100% New Zealand wool, valued for its softness and quality.

The rugs are made through an intricate hand-knotting process, where artisans use multiple yarn shades and dyeing techniques to capture the depth and vibrancy of Chontos’ visual language. The result is a tactile interpretation of her dynamic artworks, combining craftsmanship with contemporary artistic expression.

Material: 100% New Zealand Wool
Cleaning: Wool is valued for its natural resilience and ability to maintain its shape over time. As a natural material, the rug may shed slightly initially, but this gradually diminishes with regular care. Wool is renewable, biodegradable, and naturally resistant to dirt, making it a durable and sustainable choice. Regular vacuuming without a brush helps preserve its softness and longevity. For a deeper clean, professional flat washing is recommended.
Stain removal: Wipe the stain carefully with a mixture of lukewarm water and soap. Absorb excess liquid with a dry microfiber cloth.
